We took our Grand Vin Chardonnay, our very first wine aged in oak barrels to Alderley Edge's first ever wine fest.
Made from our 2011 harvest using only the most carefully selected premier vines and hand harvested pampered grapes, we aged our wine in premier French oak barrels.
Andy Cronshaw, journalist at the Manchester Evening News visited us at the North West Spring Wine Festival Roadshow in Alderley Edge and wrote a very positive review on tasting our Chardonnay Grand Vin.

"It was heartening to experience the passion for wine expressed by merchants at last weekend’s North West Spring Wine Festival Roadshow in Alderley Edge. Foremost in her enthusiasm was Muriel Lismonde who has a vineyard in the Cahors region of the south west of France but also lives in Wilmslow.
I enjoyed all her wines, but was really knocked out by the Burgundy-alike Grand Vin White 2011 (£14.90) which is made from chardonnay grapes and aged in new French oak barrels. To my mind the south of France never compares favourably with Burgundy when it comes to chardonnay, but this is an exception. There are toasty almonds, hazelnuts and hawthorns on the nose with a surprisingly graceful and refreshing palate. A classic match for scallops.
The Bordeaux-style Cuvee Classique White 2010 (£10.25) made from chardonnay, semillion and sauvignon blanc is floral and aromatic with soft mineral fruit and good length. The Tour De Belfort wines are available through the website tour-de-belfort.com or at the shop La Vin La Table in Hale."
